Denver shoots 72 percent in 2nd half to beat Oral Roberts
TULSA, Okla. -- Daniel Amigo and Jake Pemberton each scored 20 points and Denver shot 72 percent in the second half for a 93-69 victory over Oral Roberts on Tuesday night.
Joe Rosga hit a 3-pointer to give Denver its first lead at 43-42, and Thomas Neff and Rosga made back-to-back 3s to extend the lead to 76-61 with 4:31 left. The Pioneers hit 21 of 29 shots in the final 20 minutes and outscored Denver 59-34.
Rosga, who was scoreless at halftime, had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Ade Murkey tied a season high with 10 points for Denver (14-9, 6-4 Summit League). It was the second time in three games Pemberton scored at least 20.
Aaron Anderson led Oral Roberts (7-17, 3-7) with a career-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Emmanuel Nzekwesi had 15 points and eight rebounds and Kris Martin scored 14.
