JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Quadir Welton scored a career-high 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting, Trevis Wyche added 16 points and Saint Peter's beat Boston University 80-67 on Monday night.
Antwon Potley had 12 points -- all on 3s -- and Chazz Patterson scored 11 for St. Peter's.
Patterson hit two 3-pointers and Wyche added a third to make it 30-19 with 7:04 left in the half and St. Peter's (3-2) led the rest of the way. The Terriers twice pulled within three in the second half before a 16-4 run -- during which Wyche made 6-of-6 free throws and scored 10 points -- gave the Peacocks a 16-point lead with 2:50 to play.
Kyle Foreman led BU (4-2) with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
St. Peter's made 9 of 21 from 3-point range, committed just 10 turnovers and converted 18 Terriers turnovers into 23 points.
