Strong first half powers Northern Colorado to win
GREELEY, Colo. -- Jordan Davis scored 22 points and added seven assists and six rebounds and Northern Colorado used a strong first half to overpower Division II Colorado Christian 94-73 on Wednesday night.
Chaz Glotta hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 points and Ibrahim Sylla added 12 points and nine boards for the Bears (1-1), who grabbed 18 offensive rebounds and held a 55-40 advantage overall on the glass.
Dimitri Saliba scored 14 points and Ty Neff added 11 to lead Colorado Christian, who was held to 36.7 percent shooting and 6 of 21 from behind the arc.
The Bears trailed 21-13 midway through the opening period, but closed on a 37-8 scoring stretch over the final 11 minutes to take a 50-29 lead into the locker room. Davis scored seven straight points to start the run and Glotta hit two at the line to give Northern Colorado the lead.
