RICHMOND, Ky. -- Jarelle Reischel scored 37 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, JaVontae Hawkins added 26 points on 10-of-11 shooting, and Eastern Kentucky rallied late to beat Longwood 110-97 on Sunday at the EKU Hoops Classic.

Paul Jackson scored 14 and had 13 assists for the Colonels (4-1).

Trailing 43-42 at halftime, the Colonels led 70-68 on K.J. Bluford's 3-pointer, then trailed 78-76 after Tra'Vaughn White's layup. Hawkins hit back-to-back 3s and a pair of free throws to spark a 14-5 run for an 82-78 lead and the Colonels pulled ahead by 10 and held on.

Reischel's career-high points were the most for a Colonel since Shawn Fields had 39 in 2002. Hawkins also had a career high for points.

Lotanna Nwogbo scored 26 on 10-of-13 shooting for Longwood (2-3), who have lost three straight. White scored 21, shooting 5 of 7 from long distance.
