Coleman leads Nevada to 83-62 win over Montana State
HONOLULU -- Marqueze Coleman scored 20 points, AJ West had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Nevada used a strong second half to pull away in an 83-62 win over Montana State at the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic on Sunday.
Coleman made 8 of 10 free throws and added five rebounds and four assists for Nevada (2-0), which held Montana State to less than 30 percent shooting. Tyson Criswell had three of the team's seven blocks and scored 15 points.
Montana State (1-2) got 22 points from Marcus Colbert, the only Bobcat to score in double figures. Quinton Everett had 6 points and six rebounds.
The Wolfpack started the game on a 16-2 run, but Montana State fought to get within 2 points at halftime.
An 8-0 spurt early in the second half gave Nevada some breathing room and the gap was too much for the Bobcats to make up.
