St. Francis (Pa.) snaps 2-game skid, tops Bryant 71-65
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Isaiah Blackmon scored 19 points off the bench and St. Francis (Pa.) overcame 17-point first-half deficit to edge Bryant, 71-65 on Thursday night.
St. Francis bounced back after losing back-to-back home games to Fairleigh Dickinson and Mount St. Mary's in the first of three-straight Northeast Conference games on the road.
Shane McLaughlin hit a pair of 3-pointers to fuel a 15-2 Bryant run to close out the first half, with the Bulldogs leading 45-28 at the break.
The Red Flashes (8-10, 4-3 NEC) battled back, tying the game at 61-61 on Blackmon's jumper with 6:45 left, and outscoring the Bulldogs 10-2 the rest of the way.
Ronnie Drinnon and Ben Millaud-Meunier each scored 12 points for St. Francis and Josh Nebo added 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Dan Garvin led Bryant (7-13, 4-3) with 14 points. Hunter Ware and McLaughlin each added 12 points.
