Fairleigh Dickinson pulls away to beat St. Peter's 77-62
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Earl Potts Jr. scored 19 points and Stephan Jiggetts added 18 and Fairleigh Dickinson used a late run to defeat St. Peter's 77-62 on Saturday.
The Knights (2-4) shot 55 percent from the floor, including 8 of 16 from 3-point range, and 13 of 15 free throws. Darian Anderson added 14 points and six assists.
Anderson hit consecutive jumpers to ignite a 13-1 run that broke the game up. Marques Townes capped it with two free throws for a 73-57 lead with 2:21 left.
Quadir Welton made 7 of 9 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Peacocks (1-4) with 17 points. Antwon Portley hit four 3s and scored 16 and Trevis Wyche added 13.
St. Peter's shot 46 percent, making 8-of-23 3's and matched the Knights' 17 turnovers but missed three 3s, had three turnovers and went 1 of 4 from the line during the late run.
