Houston Baptist beats Central Arkansas 72-61 behind Odunsi
CONWAY, Ark. -- Anthony Odunsi had 20 points and eight assists and Houston Baptist beat Central Arkansas 72-61 on Tuesday night to win its seventh straight.
Josh Ibarra scored 13 points for the Huskies (11-7, 6-0 Southland), who were outrebounded 46-29 but shot 48 percent from the field and made 25 of 33 free throws.
The Huskies led 30-28 at halftime, but the lead flip-flopped in the second half until Asa Cantwell's 3-pointer sparked a 12-0 run for a 52-43 Houston Baptist lead with 8:26 to play.
The Bears scored six straight points to pull within 52-49 on Mathieu Kamba's jumper, but Houston Baptist pulled ahead on a 9-3 run and led 65-53 after Ibarra's dunk with 1:31 to play. Odunsi made six free throws in the final 54 seconds.
Jordan Howard led Central Arkansas (2-13, 1-4) with 27 points, Kamba added 13, and Jake Zuilhof grabbed 10 rebounds.
