UC Davis outlasts Cal State Northridge 87-83 in triple OT
LOS ANGELES -- Neal Monson scored a career-high 21 points and hauled in 15 rebounds, Josh Fox added 20 points and UC Davis edged Cal State Northridge 87-83 in triple overtime Saturday night.
Davis has won six in a row.
UC Davis (11-18, 6-10 Big West Conference) got the first three points of the final overtime. Northridge stayed close until Darius Graham made a layup, and then a 3-pointer with 1:01 left to make it 87-81 and the Aggies held on from there.
Graham scored 10 of his 18 points during the extra periods, including a layup at the end of the first OT to tie it at 69.
Northridge forced overtime with a layup from Warren to tie it at 56 at the end of regulation. Tre Hale-Edmerson went 1 for 2 from the foul line at the end of the second OT to tie it at 77.
Parks finished with 22 points for the Matadors.
It was the first triple-overtime game of the year in the Big West.
