Doyle leads Stetson over Webber International 103-53
DELAND, Fla. -- Luke Doyle made six 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead Stetson to a 103-53 victory over Webber International on Saturday.
Doyle was 6 of 9 from 3-point range and is 14 of 20 in his last two games. The Hatters (6-9) made 10 of 25 3-point attempts and shot 52 percent overall. Grant Lozoya added 16 points, Angel Rivera 13 points along with eight assists and Brian Pegg had 12 points and 12 rebounds for his eight double-double this season.
Doyle scored 13 points and Lozoya 11 in the first half when the Hatters, who never trailed, took a 53-24 lead. Stetson's 103 points were a season high.
The Warriors were led by Dewaine Lyals' 20 points. The game was an exhibition for Webber, a NAIA team.
Stetson opens Atlantic Sun play at home against North Florida on Wednesday.
