Stetson Hatters @ Florida International Panthers
Stetson outlasts Florida International, 81-75
MIAMI -- Divine Myles scored 18 points, including six in the final 1:20, to help lead Stetson to an 81-75 win over Florida International on Monday night.
After an Eric Nottage three-pointer for Florida International tied the game at 71, Stetson (3-4) closed the game on a 10-4 scoring stretch over the final 1:20 to seize the win. The first six points of the run came via Myles, who hit layups on back-to-back possessions then drilled a pair of free throws which gave the Hatters a 77-73 lead.
A Donte McGill layup for the Panthers cut the lead to two with nine seconds left, but four straight Stetson free throws closed it out.
Leo Goodman finished with 12 points for Stetson and Luke Doyle had 11.
Adrian Diaz led the Panthers (4-3) with 24 points and nine boards. The loss snaps a three game home winning streak for Florida International.
