Florida Gulf Coast cruises past Webber Int'l 104-59
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Marc Eddy Norelia scored 20 points with nine rebounds and Florida Gulf Coast cruised past NAIA-member Webber International 104-59 on Tuesday.
Norelia was 7 of 10 from the floor and 6 of 6 from the line as FGCU (9-7) shot over 61 percent and made 10 of 17 from beyond the arc. Kevin Mickle scored 14 points, Zach Johnson and Christian Terrell had 13 while Antravious Simmons added 12 points and nine boards. Filip Cvjeticanin and Rayjon Tucker chipped in 11 points apiece.
The Eagles outrebounded the overmatched Warriors 45-33 and blocked five shots.
Webber Int'l was led by Daniel Coffey with 17 points.
FGCU raced to a 12-2 lead and never trailed. The Eagles led 57-33 at intermission and the lead hit 30 with 12:01 left on a Mickle jumper -- part of a 17-0 run.
