Cal State-Bakersfield beats NAIA San Diego Christian 93-69
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Damiyne Durham scored 25 points with four 3-pointers on Saturday night, and Cal State-Bakersfield opened its season with a 93-69 win over NAIA San Diego Christian.
CS Bakersfield scored the game's first 12 points and closed the half with a 14-4 run for a 59-28 lead at intermission.
The Roadrunners had their largest lead at 89-44 before San Diego Christian scored 11 straight as part of a 25-4 run to close the game.
Aly Ahmed added 18 points, Kevin Mays had 17 points with 10 rebounds and Dedrick Basile scored 14 with eight assists. Mays made all eight of his attempts from the field and the Roadrunners shot 40 for 67 (59.7 percent).
Trevor English led the Hawks with 19 points. Dalante Dunklin added 17 points and 10 rebounds and Antonio Austin scored 11.
