Osetkowski leads Tulane over Memphis in overtime 94-87
NEW ORLEANS -- Dylan Osetkowski scored a career-high 23 points, including the go-ahead dunk in overtime, and Tulane beat Memphis 94-87 on Saturday.
Tulane broke a 12-game conference home losing streak.
Osetkowski was 7 of 11 from the field, 8 of 11 from the line and grabbed 13 rebounds for his ninth career double-double. Malik Morgan also scored 23 points for Tulane (10-16, 3-10 American), Louis Dabney had 17 points and Cameron Reynolds added 12. The Green Wave hit 11 of 25 3-point attempts, five from Morgan.
Memphis led by one, 87-86, on Shaq Goodwin's layup with 1:58 to go in overtime -- but didn't score again. Osetkowski scored on a dunk on the next possession, and the next time down Morgan nailed a 3-pointer. After a miss, Memphis was forced to foul and Tulane hit 3 of 4 from the line in the last 27 seconds.
Freshman Dedric Lawson paced Memphis (14-11, 5-7) with 25 points and a career-high 16 boards, while Ricky Tarrant Jr. added 19.
