TAMPA, Fla. -- Dylan Osetkowski had 19 points with 14 rebounds and Tulane won its first American Athletic Conference game with an 81-70 victory over South Florida on Tuesday night.
Osetkowski was a point shy of his career-best, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and had his seventh double-double of the season. Louis Dabney scored 19 points with five assists for Tulane (8-10, 1-4). Melvin Frazier added 15 points and Malik Morgan 13.
Nehemias Morillo scored 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting for South Florida (3-15, 0-5), which has lost seven straight and 10 of its last 11 games.
The Green Wave had a four-point lead with 10 minutes remaining. Osetkowski scored four straight points to spark an 18-9 run and Tulane stretched its lead to 70-57 with two minutes left. Frazier had four points, and the Bulls missed nine shots and had two turnovers during the span.
