Lipscomb knocks off North Florida 93-87
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Nathan Moran scored 24 points, Garrison Mathews added 23 points, and Lipscomb beat North Florida 94-87 on Saturday.
North Florida trailed by three after Aaron Bodgaer's 3-pointer with 2:49 to go. Moran responded on the next possession with a 3 to make it 81-75.
But the Osprey missed their next three shots and a pair of free throws, and Lipscomb made 10 of 12 from the line to ice it.
Mathews was 9 of 15 from the field, grabbed 10 rebounds and had five assists for the Bisons (10-18, 6-5 Atlantic Sun). Moran was 6 of 10 from beyond the arc. George Brammeier added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Dallas Moore led North Florida (18-10, 7-4) with 27 points and six assists. Trent Mackey scored 18 points, Bodager finished with 15, Beau Beech had 14 points with 10 rebounds and Chris Davenport added 13. Demarcus Daniels, who averages 12.4 points, was saddled with foul trouble and didn't score.
