Emery leads BYU past Mississippi Valley 75-68
PROVO, Utah -- Nick Emery had 18 points and seven assists and BYU held off Mississippi Valley State 75-68 Wednesday night.
Kyle Davis added 13 points and seven rebounds, Corbin Kaufusi had 12 points and Kyle Collinsworth 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Cougars (3-1), who had a 17-point lead early in the game but couldn't put away Mississippi Valley (0-5).
Damian Young made 9 of 12 shots, including 6-of-8 3s, to lead the Delta Devils with 21 points. Latrell Love added 13 points and Michael Matlock had 10 rebounds.
