Harris, Fresno State beat New Mexico 92-82
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Marvelle Harris had 32 points and 10 assists to lead Fresno State over New Mexico 92-82 on Saturday night.
Harris scored six straight points for Fresno State (20-9, 11-5 Mountain West), while Terrell Carter III added two, during an 8-0 run, which gave Fresno State a 69-62 lead with 8:20 left in the game.
New Mexico (16-13, 9-7) got little from anyone not named Elijah Brown down the stretch as the Lobos' sophomore scored 27 of UNM's 39 second-half points, en route to a career-high 41 points.
The two teams traded runs in the first half. Fresno State began the game with a 7-0 run, before a 15-0 response from New Mexico, capped by a Tim Williams dunk. New Mexico stretched its lead to 13 with nine minutes remaining, but the Bulldogs closed the final 4:22 of the half with a 17-8 run, drawing within 43-41.
