McCaw hits 3 to force overtime; UNLV beats Nevada 102-91
LAS VEGAS -- Patrick McCaw scored 25 points, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime, and UNLV beat Nevada 102-91 on Saturday night.
Jordan Cornish had seven of his 17 points in overtime as the Rebels outscored the Wolf Pack 22-11 in the extra period.
Jerome Seagears made five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points for UNLV (16-12, 7-8 Mountain West), which bounced back from a 79-74 loss at Air Force on Feb. 16 that broke a two-game winning streak.
Marqueze Coleman scored 31 points to lead Nevada (16-10, 8-6), which had its three-game win streak snapped.
Coleman made a 3-pointer to give Nevada an 80-77 lead with three seconds left in regulation. McCaw then took the inbounds pass and hit a running 3 from the top of the arc to tie it at 80.
