Taylor, Okereafor lead Rider to 94-83 win over Quinnipiac
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Jimmie Taylor scored 22 points and Teddy Okereafor added 21 to lead Rider to a 94-83 win over Quinnipiac on Thursday for the Broncs' fifth-straight win.
Taylor hit 6 of 7 shots, including 4 of 5 3-pointers, as the Broncs (19-9, 13-4 Metro Atlantic) shot 52 percent, including 10 of 18 behind the arc. They also made 28 of 34 free throws.
Ousmane Drame had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Bobcats (14-11, 8-9), James Ford Jr., had 18 points, Zaid Hearst 15, Evan Conti 14 and Justin Harris 12.
Rider was up 20 eight minutes into the second half but the Bobcats got within 3 before Okereafor and Khalil Alford combined for eight straight points and an 82-71 lead with 3:36 left. The Broncs made 10 of 12 free throws in the final 2:22.
