Richmond's balanced scoring pushes past St. Bonaventure
SAINT BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- ShawnDre' Jones scored 17 points to lead five Richmond players in double figures as the Spiders beat St. Bonaventure 71-56 on Wednesday night.
Junior Terry Allen had 15 points, 13 in the second half, with 11 rebounds to record his third-career double-double for Richmond (14-12, 7-6 Atlantic 10). T.J. Cline added 14 points, Deion Taylor had 11 and Kendall Anthony 10 as the Spiders made 26 of 52 shots (50 percent), including eight 3-pointers.
Youssou Ndoye scored 12 points for St. Bonaventure (13-11, 6-7), and Dion Wright and Andell Cumberbatch added 10 apiece. The Bonnies turned it over 19 times.
St. Bonaventure led 42-38 midway through the second half, before Richmond went on a 14-0 run to take a 52-42 lead with 7:22 left. Cline and Jones hit 3-pointers during the spurt and the duo combined for six overall.
