May leads Delaware State over North Carolina A&T 67-52
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Amere May scored 21 points, hitting three 3-pointers, to lead Delaware State to a 67-52 lead over North Carolina A&T on Saturday for its fourth straight win.
Kendall Gray added 10 points and 12 rebounds and DeAndre Haywood pitched in 12 points, five boards and four assists for Delaware State (10-9, 4-1 Mid-Eastern).
Ahmad Abdullah tallied 17 points and six rebounds, Khary Doby added 11 points and five boards and Bruce Beckford had 10 points for NC A&T (5-16, 2-5). The Aggies finished with a 22-12 edge on the offensive glass.
Up three at the intermission, the Hornets kicked off the second half with an 11-4 run, and began to pull away with a subsequent 18-2 run to go up 17. Delaware State outscored the Aggies 41-29 in the second half.
