Morgan State rallies to beat Delaware State 73-69
DOVER, Del. -- Cedric Blossom scored a career-high 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made 10 of 12 free throws Saturday and Morgan State rallied to beat Delaware State 73-69, snapping a six-game losing streak.
Blake Bozeman scored 22, including four 3-pointers, Zech Smith had 10 with 12 rebounds, and the Bears (3-14, 1-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic) were outrebounded 50-29 but converted 29 of 44 free throws.
Delaware State led 30-28 at halftime after Kavon Walker's tip shot with 22 seconds left.
Bozeman pulled the Bears within one, 37-36, with a 3 early in the second half, then Blossom hit two free throws and Bozeman another 3 for a 56-53 Morgan State lead. The Bears surged on an 11-8 run and Bozeman and Smith combined for eight free throws in the final 48 seconds.
Kendall Gray led Delaware State (6-9, 0-1) with 18 points and 22 rebounds, his ninth double-double of the season.
