Kone scores career-high 23, leads Hofstra past Drexel 81-57
PHILADELPHIA -- Moussa Kone did not miss a field goal, scoring a career-high 23 points as Hofstra rolled to an 81-57 victory over Drexel on Sunday.
Kone made all 10 shots from the floor and 3 of 4 from the line, missing his fourth free throw attempt with 4:29 to play. Malik Nichols matched a career-best with 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Juan'ya Green had 13 points and six assists for the Pride, who shot 63 percent from the field.
Hofstra (17-10, 8-6 Colonial Athletic Association) and Drexel (10-15, 8-6) are tied in the CAA, two games back of leaders William & Mary (16-9, 10-4) and UNC Wilmington (15-10, 10-4).
Tavon Allen scored 20 points and Damion Lee chipped in 15 for the Dragons. Drexel had its six-game winning streak snapped, having last lost to Hofstra, 86-58 on Jan. 21.
