Delaware rallies to 84-80 win over William & Mary
NEWARK, Del. -- Kory Holden scored 24 points with nine assists as Delaware rallied in the second half to an 84-80 win over William & Mary on Wednesday night.
Kyle Anderson added 23 points for the Blue Hens (4-14, 3-4 Colonial Athletic Association). Cazmon Hayes had 13 and Marvin King-Davis chipped in 10.
Omar Prewitt sank a 3-pointer with 6:58 left in the first period, capping a 10-2 William & Mary run that gave the Tribe a 32-16 advantage and they led 44-32 at the break.
Trailing by 16 points early in the second period, Delaware rallied on a 14-2 run, highlighted by 3-pointers by Devonne Pinkard and Chivarsky Corbett, to pull within four, 58-54, with 11:40 to play. Anderson sank a trio of 3s within two minutes as part of a 15-6 run that gave the Blue Hens a 78-73 lead with 1:16 left.
Prewitt led William & Mary with a career-best 30 points.
