Towson over UMBC 77-66
BALTIMORE -- Four McGlynn scored 22 points to help give Towson a 77-66 victory over the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Saturday.
McGlynn did it with 13-of-13 shooting from the line and 4-of-6 shooting from the field. Alex Gavrilovic added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers (6-1). Timajh Parker-Rivera also had 15 points and led the team with nine rebounds. The Tigers finished shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 81.3 percent from the line and 58.3 percent from beyond the arc.
UMBC hit 50 percent from the field overall, 62 percent from the line and just 35.7 percent from 3-point range.
The Retrievers (0-5) led 36-33 at the break but faded in the second as starters Wayne Sparow and Cody Joyce both fouled out.
Sparow finished 17 points for the Retrievers. Joyce and Jourdan Grant chipped in with 12 points apiece.
