ESTERO, Fla. -- Tim Derksen scored 21 points and led four players in double-figure scoring as San Francisco knocked off Hawaii, 88-73 in the Gulf Coast Showcase tournament Monday night.

Hawaii, fresh off an upset of Pittsburgh Friday night, was playing on the East Coast for the first time in two decades.

The Rainbow Warriors led late in the first half until Derrell Robertson hit two free throws with 1:25 left to give the Dons the lead. After Quincy Smith pulled Hawaii back to even at 30-30, Mark Tollefsen and Kruize Pinkins each converted layups to send San Francisco (3-0) to the locker room with a 34-30 lead.

Derksen was 7 of 13 from the field and 3 of 6 from long range. Pinkins added 19 points after converting 11 of 14 from the line.

Aaron Valdes scored 16 points to lead Hawaii (4-2), with Mike Thomas adding 13 points.
