NEW ORLEANS -- Kevin Brown nailed 5 of 7 from long range for 19 points and New Orleans dominated Abilene Christian 75-55 on Saturday night.
Terrance Syon had 12 points and eight rebounds, Nate Frye added 11 points and Kevin Hill chipped in 10 points for New Orleans (9-15, 5-10 Southland Conference).
The Privateers started hot and were in control from the beginning, leading 38-20 at the half and up 59-39 with 6:36 remaining in the game. New Orleans hit 14 of 21 (66.7 percent) from the floor in the first half while limiting ACU to 8-of-24 (33.3 percent).
Abilene Christian (9-19, 3-12), which has now has lost 12 consecutive games, made just 29 of 51 field goal attempts for the game. The Privateers made 26 of 45 (57.8 percent) from the floor.
Parker Wentz and Austin Cooke had 11 points apiece for the Wildcats.
