Ross scores 21, leads Lamar past NAIA Milligan 80-53
BEAUMONT, Texas -- Donovan Ross scored 21 points, and Tyran de Lattibeaudiere had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Lamar to an 80-53 victory over NAIA Milligan on Friday night.
Anthony Holliday added 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Dontavious Sears chipped in 11 points for the Cardinals (4-6), who have won back-to-back games since snapping a three-game losing streak.
Ross finished 9 of 15 from the floor and had six rebounds and three steals, and de Lattibeaudiere had two steals and two blocks for the Cardinals, who led 24-9 midway through the first half and built a 48-24 advantage at halftime. Sears hit a 3 and made a pair of free throws to give the Cardinals a 27-point lead with 3:56 to play.
Mickey Woods scored 12 points and Morgan McLeod had 10 for Milligan.
