McNeese State rolls past Louisiana College 90-63
LAKE CHARLES, La. -- Austin Lewis blocked 11 shots, setting a school record as McNeese State rolled to a 90-63 victory over Division III Louisiana College on Tuesday night.
Lewis was two blocks shy of tying the Southland Conference record and finished with 10 points. Desharick Guidry scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Kevin Hardy added 14 points and 12 boards for McNeese State.
Keelan Garrett scored 15 points for the Cowboys, who shot 39 of 74 from the field for 53 percent after having shot just 21 percent against Baylor on Friday night. Jamaya Burr dished out a career-high 10 assists to lead the Cowboys, who finished with 24.
Anthony Gaines Jr. scored 15 points and had 13 rebounds to lead Louisiana College. Kevin Cottonham and Brandon Watkins each had 10 points for the Wildcats.
