Bryant defeats New Hampshire 72-63
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Dyami Starks had 19 points and six rebounds to lead Bryant to a 72-63 win over New Hampshire on Thursday night.
Shane McLaughlin tallied nine points, five rebounds and four assists on 4-of-6 shooting for Bryant.
Daniel Dion finished with 11 points, six assists and five rebounds. Frank Okeke scored 13 points and Ronnel Jordan added 11 for New Hampshire (1-2).
Dan Garvin scored the first two baskets of the game as Bryant (1-1) started off on a 12-0 run. Later in the first half, Hunter Ware scored six straight points to give Bryant a 41-17 lead.
Bryant went into halftime up 50-26, but the Wildcats responded with a 25-4 run, during which the team went 10-for-12 shooting, to take a 61-60 lead with 5:23 left.
The Bulldogs then closed out on a 12-2 run including seven straight points from Starks.
