Princeton coasts to 96-48 win over Rowan
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Aaron Young scored 15 points, all from beyond the arc, and dished out four assists to help propel Princeton to a 96-48 win over Division-III Rowan on Sunday.
Hans Brase added 13 points and Hashim Moore had 12 as Princeton (8-9) shot 56 percent from the floor on 61 attempts and controlled the boards 44-25 to pile up its most points in a game this season.
The Tigers broke away early in the first half with a 21-2 run that included five 3-pointers -- two each from Brase and Ben Hazel and another from Spencer Weisz -- to take a 29-12 lead 13 minutes into the game before carrying a 46-20 advantage into the break. Midway through the second half, Moore's layup gave Princeton its biggest lead, 79-31, as the Tigers emptied the bench down the stretch.
Ike Robinson led Rowan with 13 points and Mike Simpson had 12.
