MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Tyler White poured in 24 points, Tayler Persons added 16 with eight assists and Northern Kentucky defeated Morehead State 83-60 on Friday night.

The Norse (5-6) shot an efficient 54.7 percent from the field and sank eight 3-pointers, with White hitting five of them. Chad Jackson chipped in 10 points with eight rebounds and Jalen Billups had 10 points with seven boards for Northern Kentucky.

Morehead State (4-10) was limited to 17-of-48 shooting (35.4 percent) and went 3 of 19 from deep. Billy Reader paced the Eagles with 20 points and six rebounds and Corban Collins contributed 11 points.

Northern Kentucky pulled away with an early 19-0 run sparked by 3-pointers from Deontae Cole, Anthony Monaco and White. After Monaco's trey, White fired off three straight from deep to lead 26-6 near the midway mark of the first half. The Eagles trailed by double digits the rest of the way.
