YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Karrington Ward made 5 of 6 from long range to total 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Eastern Michigan to an 83-69 win over Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday night.
Mike Talley made 6 of 10 from the floor for 20 points with seven assists and Raven Lee added 18 for Eastern Michigan (15-9, 4-7 Mid-American Conference). EMU made 10 of 19 from beyond the arc.
In the last meeting between the teams a month ago, Eastern Michigan held a 25-point advantage, but the RedHawks charged back to take a 82-81 victory in overtime.
The Eagles did not fade this time. Eastern Michigan started the second half with a 13-3 run to lead 46-30 with 14:29 left.
