Central Michigan rallies to beat Buffalo 84-73
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Chris Fowler scored 14 points and had 10 assists and Central Michigan rallied to beat Buffalo 84-73 on Wednesday night.
Fowler, the Mid-American Conference assists leader, is only 47 shy of becoming the Chippewas' all-time assists leader. Braylon Rayson led Central Michigan in scoring with 19 points, John Simons added 15 and nine rebounds and Rayshawn Simmons scored 11 points.
Central Michigan hit 30 of 56 shots for 53.6 percent overall and were even better from the 3-point arc at 16 of 29 for 55.2 percent with Rayson and Simons each making five from beyond the arc.
Trailing at halftime, 45-38, the Chippewas (13-3, 3-2), 10-0 at home, took the lead for good 52-50 on a shot by Fowler with 14:37 left.
The Bulls (12-5 3-2) were led by 26 points and nine rebounds by Justin Moss, who made four 3-pointers. Jarryn Skeete added 15 points and Shannon Evans 12.
