Miami (Ohio) rallies to beat Eastern Michigan 82-81 in OT
OXFORD, Ohio -- Will Sullivan had 17 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and made the winning free throws with 3:19 to play in overtime on Saturday as Miami (Ohio) rallied for an 82-81 win over Eastern Michigan.
Jordan Price's 3-pointer gave Eastern Michigan an 81-80 lead with 3:44 left but after that the Eagles missed their last four shots.
Eric Washington had 18 points and Geovanie McKnight 12 for the Redhawks (6-9, 1-1 Mid-American) and provided the heroics down the stretch as they rallied from a 49-30 halftime deficit.
Washington hit a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left in regulation to force the overtime. He combined with McKnight to score Miami's last 17 points in regulation. Meanwhile, Eastern Michigan had three players go a combined 5-8 from the line in the last minute, giving Miami life.
Karrington Ward had 18 points and Mike Talley 13 with a career-high 10 assists for Eastern Michigan (11-4, 0-2).
