Alston has career-high 18 points in BU's 63-57 win over Army
BOSTON -- Justin Alston scored a career-high 18 points to go with seven rebounds to lead Boston University to a 63-57 victory over Army on Wednesday night.
A pair of foul shots by Dylan Cox got Army within two, 59-57, with 18 seconds left but Eric Fanning and John Papale each made a pair of free throws down the stretch.
Fanning scored 14 points, hitting 10 of 17 free throws, and Cedric Hankerson added 12 for the Terriers (13-15, 9-8 Patriot League).
Tanner Plomb scored 22 points and had eight rebounds for the Black Knights (15-13, 6-11). Kevin Ferguson added 10 points for Army, which has lost seven of its last eight games.
The Terriers led from the opening minute, had their biggest lead of 15 points with 2:20 left in the half, and were up by 12 at the break.
