Lafayette Leopards @ Lehigh Mountain Hawks
Lafayette hangs on for 63-61 win over Lehigh
BETHLEMEHM, Pa. -- Seth Hinrichs scored 16 points and Nick Lindner sank the winning bucket to lift Lafayette to a 63-61 win over Lehigh on Sunday.
Leading by eight late in the second half, Lafayette (16-11, 8-8 Patriot League) had to hold off a Lehigh surge that twice tied the game in the final three minutes, first at 59 with Justin Goldsborough's layup and again at 61 with Tim Kempton's bucket.
Lindner dropped the winning layup with 1:37 left and Lehigh missed its final two shots down the stretch, fouling Lafayette's Dan Trist just ahead of the buzzer to end the game.
Trist and Lindner finished with 14 points for Lafayette, which won its second straight. Trist also grabbed 10 rebounds to get his third double-double in a row.
Kempton led Lehigh (15-12, 9-7) with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Kahron Ross also had 13 points, Austin Price had 12 and Goldsborough 11.
