Northern Colorado Bears @ Eastern Washington Eagles
Eastern Washington tops Northern Colorado 95-85
CHENEY, Wash. -- Tyler Harvey scored 35 points as Eastern Washington remained unbeaten at home with a 95-85 win over Northern Colorado Thursday night.
The Eagles, bouncing back from a road loss at Sacramento State, built a 23-point lead in the first half, 50-27, and the deficit proved too large for Northern Colorado's second-half surge.
The victory keeps Eastern Washington (14-5, 5-1 Big Sky) tied with Montana, a 51-42 winner over Northern Arizona, and a game back of the conference-leading Hornets. The Eagles now are 9-0 at home.
Playing without Venky Jois for the second straight game, Eastern Washington had five players score in double figures. Parker Kelly matched Harvey's 5 of 9 shooting from 3-point range and finished with 15 points. Drew Brandon added 14 points, Ognjen Miljkovic 11 and Bogdan Bliznyuk 10.
Tim Huskisson and Jordan Wilson scored 21 and 20 points, respectively, to lead Northern Colorado (9-8, 4-2).
