Idaho State cruises against Grand Canyon, 67-51
PHOENIX -- Chris Hansen scored 22 points, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range, and dished out five assists to lead Idaho State to a 67-51 victory over Grand Canyon on Tuesday night.
Jeffrey Solarin finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, and Marcus Bradley added 11 off the bench for the Bengals (2-5), who held Grand Canyon to 33.3 percent shooting from the field, held a 36-21 edge in rebounding, and forced 14 turnovers.
After leading by just two at the break, 30-28, Idaho State turned up the heat in the second half, pushing their lead as high as 21 on the strength of a 14-2 run midway through the half.
Jerome Garrison scored 20 points to lead Grand Canyon (4-5). Miroslav Jaksic added nine points off the bench for the Antelopes.
