Mason leads Chattanooga over Wofford 71-57
SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Z. Mason scored 12 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked five shots as Chattanooga rolled to a 71-57 victory Saturday night over Wofford.
Mason shot just 3 of 13 from the field, but made six of seven free throws. He has scored in double figures for nine straight games. Chattanooga (12-8, 6-0 Southern) has an eight-game winning streak, its longest since the 1996-97 season.
Casey Jones' layup gave Chattanooga a 22-21 lead with 7:05 to play in the first half, and the Mocs led the rest of the way.
Ronrico White scored 16 points for Chattanooga. Martynas Bareika, Gee McGhee, and Greg Pryor each added 10 for the Mocs.
Karl Cochran scored 19 points to lead Wofford (7-10, 2-3). Lee Skinner had 11 points with 10 rebounds for the Terriers, who have lost three of their last four games.
