Daniel's 23 lifts Howard to 68-60 win over NC A&T
WASHINGTON -- James Daniel scored 23 points to lead Howard to a 68-60 win over North Carolina A&T on Monday.
Daniel, the leading scorer in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference at 20.3 points a game, made 14 of 16 free throws for the Bison (6-17, 4-4), who finished 37 for 47 from the line. Solomon Mangham had 12 points and Emmanuel Okoro 11 for Howard.
Richaud Pack made 15 of 17 free throws for 15 points for the Aggies (7-16, 3-5), who were 25 of 35 from the line. Pack was 0 for 7 from the field after making 18 of 36 in his previous three games. Lamont Middleton added 15 points.
Howard was 15 of 38 from the field but made just 1 of 9 3-pointers. A&T was 16 of 46, including 3 of 18 behind the arc.
