Aaron lifts Milwaukee past Green Bay 73-63
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Jordan Aaron scored 30 points as Milwaukee surprised Horizon League-leading Green Bay 73-63 on Saturday.
The Panthers (16-9, 6-5) trailed 29-28 at halftime but shot 60 percent (15-25) in the second half, including 5 of 10 from 3-point range. Aaron was the catalyst, finishing 4 of 6 behind the arc and 10 of 10 from the foul line. Kyle Kelm and Steve McWhorter added 10 each.
Keifer Sykes had 26 for the Phoenix (19-5, 9-2), who shot 40 percent in the second half, including 3 of 14 on 3-pointers, and finished just 12 of 20 from the free throw line.
Milwaukee scored the first five points of the second and half and never trailed. With a four-point lead midway through the half the Panthers reeled off 12 straight, the last 10 by Aaron, to lead 59-43 with 7:17 remaining.
