La Salle cruises past Duquesne 75-56
PITTSBURGH -- Tyreek Duren scored 23 points and Tyrone Garland added 17 as La Salle pushed past Duquesne in the second half to win 75-56 on Sunday afternoon.
Duren shot 7 of 11 from the floor and drained four 3-pointers. Steve Zack chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. La Salle shot 27 of 51 from the floor (52.9 percent) and finished with 17 assists.
The Explorers (9-6, 2-0 Atlantic 10) led by five at intermission and built a 12-point lead midway through the second half.
Dominique McKoy led the Dukes with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Ovie Soko and Derrick Colter chipped in 12 points apiece. Soko had scored 20 points or more in the last five games before the meeting on Sunday.
The Dukes (8-6, 1-1) combined to shoot 35.8 percent from the floor and made 4 of 16 from 3-point range.
