HARTFORD, Conn. -- Taylor Dyson and Mark Nwakamma scored 14 apiece as Hartford knocked off Albany (NY) 67-54 on Saturday.
Hartford (11-14, 5-5 America East) halted a three-game losing streak by shooting 52 percent, including 12 of 23 from beyond the arc. Corban Wroe added 11.
Sam Rowley led Albany (12-12, 6-5 America East) with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Albany was 2 of 12 on 3-pointers.
Hartford led by eight after Dyson's trey with 1:24 left in the first half, but Albany hit six consecutive free throws to close the half trailing 28-26.
Early in the second, Dyson and Evan Cooper sandwiched a pair of free throws by Rowley to turn a 3-point lead into seven, then Dyson drained another from long distance after a pair of Rowley free throws to put the Hawks up eight. They stretched it to double digits a few moments later and cruised to the win.
