Wyoming (17-10, 8-6 Mountain West) and Colorado State (15-13, 6-9) were knotted at 31 at the break, but it was all Rams in the second half as J.J. Avila scored the first four points of the period. A few minutes later, Joe De Ciman hit his second 3-pointer within a 35 second span and Colorado State was on its way to a 51-point second half, which included a 17-point lead with 1:28 to play.
The Cowboys owned a three-game winning streak, but played without the services of leading scorer and rebounder Larry Nance Jr. after he suffered a season-ending torn ACL on Tuesday. Nathan Sobey had top-scoring honors for Wyoming with 15 points.
