Richmond flies away from Air Force 83-60
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Terry Allen and Kendall Anthony each scored 19 points as Richmond beat Air Force 83-60 Wednesday night.
Air Force (3-2) kept the game close into the second half. Anthony hit a 3-pointer to give Richmond a 38-35 lead with 16:42 left in the game.
That shot began a barrage of scoring from Richmond, and their hot shooting overwhelmed Air Force.
With a 52-46 lead, Richmond (5-2) ripped off a 22-6 run that featured four 3-pointers. The Spiders finished the game shooting 55.6 percent on their 3-pointers and 53.7 percent from the field.
Air Force, on the other hand, was grounded, shooting 30.8 percent from long range.
Cedrick Lindsay added 16 points for Richmond to go along with nine assists. Allen's total was a career high.
Tre' Coggins scored 16 points to lead Air Force. Marek Olesinksi added 14 while Justin Hammonds had 12. Hammonds also pulled down nine rebounds.
