SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Stephen Maxwell's jump shot as time ran out gave Cal State Northridge an 80-78 overtime victory over UC Santa Barbara on Saturday night.

Josh Greene led with 23 points for the Matadors (13-14, 5-7 Big West). Stephen Maxwell and Ben Vozzola added 17 points apiece.

CSN led 35-33 at the break, but UCSB went on a 14-6 run to start the second half, giving the Gauchos a 47-41 lead with 15:49 left. A 10-3 run by CSN -- including two 3-pointers by Greene and a layup by Landon Drew with 6 seconds left in regulation -- tied the game at 71, sending it into overtime.

With the score tied 78-78 and less than 30 seconds left in OT, Stephen Maxwell hit a jumper as time ran out to seal the win for the Matadors.

Alan Williams led the Gauchos (16-7, 7-3) with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
