San Diego defeats Grand Canyon 70-59
SAN DIEGO -- Johnny Dee scored 17 points and hit three 3-pointers Saturday night to lead San Diego to a 70-59 win over Grand Canyon.
San Diego (2-0) had four players score in double figures. Dennis Kramer had 14 points and Christopher Anderson added 13. Both players had six rebounds. Duda Sanadze made two 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.
The game was tied at 18 in the first half before Dee hit two free throws to put the Toreros up for good.
The Toreros led by as much as 17 in the second half. Grand Canyon (0-2) went on a 7-0 run to make it 49-39, but would only get as close as eight points with 9:04 to play.
Demetrius Walker led the Antelopes with 19 points and three 3-pointers. Killian Larson was the other Antelope to score in double figures with 14 points, and he had a game-high 15 rebounds.
