Tulane over Florida Atlantic 72-64
NEW ORLEANS -- Jonathan Stark scored 21 points with five assists to lead Tulane to a 72-64 victory over Florida Atlantic on Wednesday.
Louis Dabney added 18 points for the Green Wave (16-13, 8-6 Conference USA). Jay Hook had 17 points and Trevante Drye scored nine and led the team in rebounds with 14.
Florida Atlantic went 19-4 to start and led 31-23 at the break. Jay Hook hit a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half as part of a 16-7 Tulane run to help the Green Wave achieve a 39-38 lead with 16:16 to play. A Stark jumper with 3:10 left gave the Green Wave a 63-52 advantage. Then Stark, Dabney and Payton Henson combined for 8 of 10 from the line in the final minute to seal the win.
Pablo Bertone led the Owls (10-19, 5-9) with 28 points and five rebounds.
